Xiaomi alongside Google is working to come up with gorgeous and coolest smartphones after signing up a Project Treble that enables major Android updates to be sent to Xiaomi smartphones faster than ever. As we all know, Google has launched 10th gen Android 10 at Google I/O conference earlier this year. This latest operating system has brought some exciting features along like improvement over Android 9.0 Pie, better navigation gestures, dark mode, 5G support and much more.
Some smartphone brands like Xiaomi have already geared up to get their smartphones updated with Android 10, but unfortunately, not all company’s huge collection of devices will get updates. However, plenty is eligible and expected to be upgraded to Android 10 sooner than later. The expected smartphones that will get the Android 10 update are as follow:
Q4 2019
Xiaomi Mi 9 Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Xiaomi Mi 8 Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G Redmi K20 Redmi K20 Pro
Q1 2020
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G Xiaomi Mi 6 Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Xiaomi Mi CC9 Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Xiaomi Mi Note 3
The software update will come to the Xiaomi smartphones in two different phases. The first phase is expected to be completed before December 2019 ends whereas the 2nd phase is most likely to take January or February 2020.
