Google Drive will delete all the content including photos, videos, files, audios, etc., after 30 days from the ‘Trash Bin’. Earlier, all the trashed content remains in the Trash bin until users delete it manually. But this behavior is going to change soon. Any existing content in Google Drive will be deleted 30 days after October 13, 2020. The new Policy change notes are as follow: Retention policies set by admins in Google Vault are not affected by this change, unless they become obsolete as they are now redundant. Files deleted via Drive File Stream will be purged from the system trash after 30 days. There is no impact to Backup and Sync behavior. Files in shared drives trash are already automatically deleted after 30 days. Items in trash will still continue to consume quota.
